"Power mobility" devices are those wheeled electric aids used by persons who have mobility impairments. It includes Power Chairs and 3 or 4 wheeled electric mobility scooters. There is an estimated 3500+ devices in and around the Prince George area. The Power Mobility Club was formed to organize those persons who use these devices for their basic mobility needs. We help the city with observations of access barriers and promote environmentally sound recreation on accessible trails.
Prince George Power Mobility Club considers everyone who uses these devices in the city of Prince George to be “members at large” and all are welcome to join us in public events like parades and on our “field trips”. They become full members when they attend our monthly meetings held every second Wednesday of the month from March to December at 3pm. As of January 2010, the club is continuing to raise funds towards becoming a registered society. We hope to achieve this goal before June 2010.
